Carol McArdle's favorite Florida found bird to paint is the pink roseate spoonbill. Their large bill is spoon shaped and the spoonbills swish it back and forth as the wade in the shallow waters to catch their food. Their pink feathers are bright and saturated in any weather but especially in the Florida sun. The water sparkles behind the "Pink Feathered Beauty" as she preens her beautiful plumes.
